Duplicity - Chapter 7

CHAPTER 7

Lawal's mansion was situated in a lovely and serene environment in Maitama, fully secured and in a residential area. Its compound was large enough to hold 12 to 15 cars and had a security room that was strategically located to oversee the surroundings. The mansion itself was built with authentic materials and featured three large living rooms and a large partitioned dining area. Downstairs, there was a spacious guest room with wardrobes and an equally spacious kitchen with cabinets, drawers, and tabletop burners.

Upstairs, the master bedroom was fitted with lovely, standardized materials and had plenty of space. It had a lovely view and proper airflow, which made the atmosphere unique and suitable for a relaxing and peaceful place to relax and meditate. The house was adorned with top-notch quality fittings and fixtures, making it a luxurious and comfortable place to live. Overall, it was a beautiful and impressive home that reflected Lawal's wealth and status in the city.

After an awkwardly long and silent breakfast, Lawal took Ese to his little garden where he finally broke the silence between them. He told her that instead of a one-time deal, he was willing to offer her a long-term arrangement for as long as she wanted, emphasizing that she had the power to end the agreement anytime she wished. In return for her company, he would provide her with money to cover all of her expenses. Learning that she was in complete control, Ese agreed to his terms.

Seeing her in that yellow dress, he couldn't help but want more of her body. He desired to have her over and over again, but knew that she needed a break from the pain of the previous night and didn't want to push her too hard. Despite his desires to have her, Lawal knew that he had to be patient.

He knew that he had to do something to win Ese over. He had been enamored with her from the moment he laid eyes on her, and he was determined to make her his personal bitch. So, he decided to send a huge amount of money to impress and show her his wealth.

Lawal then asked Ese for her account number and transferred a sum of 500,000 to her account to get her started. Ese was overjoyed and grateful, as this amount of money was more than enough to cover her admission fees at the University of Abuja and her mother's medical bills. She had never seen such a large amount of money before in her life, and it was hard to believe that she was now 500,000 richer just for spending a single night with this man.

Ese knew that she had made a difficult decision, but she also knew that it was the right one for her at the moment. She was determined to make the most of this opportunity and to use the money wisely. With renewed hope and determination, Ese left Lawal's mansion, ready to take on whatever the world had in store for her. As she walked out of the gates of Lawal's mansion, Ese was shocked to receive another bank alert of 200,000 making her bank balance 700,000 in total. As she stood there waiting for her cab in excitement she got a text message from Lawal saying

“The 500k is for your school and your mom. The 200k is for your expenses. Thanks for making my weekend worth a while, would send my driver to pick you up on Wednesday for another fun experience”.

Ese couldn't help feeling a mix of emotions. On one hand, she was grateful to Lawal for his generosity and for giving her the chance to change her circumstances. On the other hand, she couldn't shake off the guilt and shame she felt for agreeing to his terms. Ese knew that what she had done was not something that she was proud of, but she also knew that she had no other choice.

With the money that Lawal had transferred to her account, Ese was able to pay off her outstanding tuition fees and take care of her mother's medical bills. She was relieved to finally be able to catch up with her studies and to provide her mother with the care that she needed. She was also able to buy herself a new laptop, and some new clothes, which made her feel more confident and independent. Despite all of these positive changes, Ese couldn't help feeling a sense of unease. She knew that she was in a difficult position, and she was worried about what would happen if Lawal ever found out that she would want other men in her life.

Ese also knew that she was in danger of becoming emotionally attached to Lawal, as he was going to be the only man in her life for a while, which was something that she didn't want. She didn't want to be just another one of Lawal's "arrangements," and she knew that she needed to find a way to keep things on her terms.
